Dagestan lawmakers to debate a draft on local governments

DAGESTAN, September 29, Caucasus Times – Local lawmakers will be debating a draft of law on local self-governments at the session of the Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan to be opened on September 30 in Makhachkala.

This brand-new law had been worked out according to local traditions and would not contradict the contemporary federal legislation on home rules, Caucasus Times correspondent quoted the minister of justice Azady Ragimov as saying.

“The local Ministry of Justice experts have added a few amendments to the federal law concerning the home rule,” the minister said.
