Ministry of the internal affairs of Karachaevo-Cherkessia discussed the results of the complex preventive operation conducted in the republic

KARACHAEVO-CHERKESIA, 5 December, Caucasus Times. Ministry of the Internal Affairs of Karachaevo-Cherkessia summed up the results of the special preventive operation, which had been conducted in the republic on 8 – 28 November.

According to the information from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the preventive operation, 17 grenades, 1970 pieces of different amunition and three automatic guns were found and confiscated.

Apart from that, members of the Internal Affiars Office in Cherkessk together with the members of the Office on Fight Against Organized Crime and Economic Security Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs confiscated eight explosive shells for the grenade discharger cup.

“In the course of special operation members of the law enforcement agencies also confiscated 13735.2 gramms of explosive materials and 5209.2 gramms of various drugs”, – press service informed.

In total, during the special prevention operation 318 crimes were dislcosed. One third of those crimes (104 cases) were dislosed in Cherkessk.

According to the information from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karachaevo-Cherkessia, troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Karachaevo-Cherkessia, trafic militia of Internal Affairs Office of Voronezh Oblast, Special Militia Troops (OMON) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan and Internal troops of North Caucasus Military District took part in the special preventive operation in the territory of Karachaevo-Cherkessia.
