Plantation of cannabis found in a district

ADYGEIYA, August 24, Caucasus Times – Recently, a lot with plantation of cannabis was found by local law enforcement agents in Koshekhabilsky district of the republic.

The lot taken for rent by a local man was discovered by Illegal drug control officers, said Alla Orlova, press-secretary of the State Drug Control agency in her interview with Caucasus Times correspondent. Wild plants alternated with huge cannabis plants obviously delivered to Adygea from Chouyskaya valley in Kyrgyzstan, press secretary said.

The officers destroyed several hundreds of plants at the site and confiscated 7 kg poppy seedpods the “plant-breeder” had. The man was detained. Criminal case has been instituted, under investigation.

At the same time, we support the development of national languages as key elements of identity and cultural heritage, encouraging public discussion and engagement. The project seeks to become a catalyst for building a strong civil society and defending democratic values, helping to train new professional journalists and fostering international cooperation.
