Police arrests two alleged insurgents in Khasavyurt

DAGESTAN, February 15, Caucasus Times – Two local men have been reportedly arrested in a joint special operation code-named “Wahhabi” conducted by police and the Interior Ministry troops, Caucasus Times correspondent reported. Police alleged a 28-year-old local of Khasavyurt was a member of insurgent underground.

Another suspect had been detained by the police investigating into an attempt on lives of the law enforcement agents. A 30-year-old native of Nozhai Yurt district of Chechnya, the police said, aided the militants, supplying them with food and radios.
