Prosecutors file charges against policemen who released a suspect for bribe

DAGESTAN, March 16, Caucasus Times – The Khasaviyurt district prosecutor’s office lodged charges against two criminal police officers who released last year a 27-year-old detainee suspected of participation in illegal armed forces, the Interior Ministry press service told Caucasus Times correspondent.

The suspect paid off $500 and was released by the two policemen who also took his pistol, the internal security department investigating into the bribe case said.
