Supreme Court to begin trial of murder case

KARACHAY-CHERKESSIA, February 25, Caucasus Times- The trial of murder charges against local residents begins on February 28, the Supreme Court spokesman Murat Batashov told Caucasus Times correspondent.

The presiding judge Svetlana Rastova will be hearing the case of eight suspects, including President Batdiyev’s son-in-law, who had been accused of staging the murder of seven local businessmen perpetrated on October 11, last year.

The municipal court of Cherkessk will conduct the examination of evidence against accessories after the fact, the spokesman said, adding the journalists would not be admitted in the courtroom.
