Wahhabism followers die in accidental explosion

DAGESTAN, November 12, Caucasus Times – Yesterday, two young men died in an accidental explosion that came in their car at about 9:30 p. m. in the town of Hasavyurt in Dagestan, Caucasus Times correspondent reports citing the Interior Ministry of Dagestan.

The explosion occurred when the traffic police patrol were pursuing their car. The passenger died on the spot. The car driver, who had suffered shrapnel injuries in the head and burns of his face and hands, attempted to flee but was caught by the police patrol. The officers collected at the site fragments of Makarov pistol, fifteen cartridges for an assault rifle, a rocket-propelled grenade, at least 4,5 of aluminum powder and a pair of rubber gloves. The police detectives suggested the improvised bomb went off unexpectedly.

The killed and wounded men appeared to be the Gereyevs brothers, radical Wahhabism followers, Zainutdin, 26 and Hajimurad, 25, Interior Ministry officials said.
