Death toll stands at three in Kizliyar car bombing

DAGESTAN, February, 16, Caucasus Times – Two more victims injured in the car bombing have reportedly died in hospital. The deaths added to the toll of three. A woman had been killed by the bomb at the site.

The car bomb exploded at 5.20 p. m. at the moment a ” Mercedes ” with two top officials of Dagestan was passing by. The officials escaped in the blast but the guards and three passersby suffered grave shrapnel injuries.

Detectives of Prosecutor’s Office and regional branch of Federal Security are presently investigating at the scene.

Mr. Amutinov is believed to be a target of criminals, the Caucasus Times correspondent reports citing the Interior Ministry, as the official had been attacked in Makhachkala. Last fall, he fortunately escaped in a similar car bombing.
