Securities prevent destruction of gas pipeline

DAGESTAN, February 5, Caucasus Times – Yesterday a sabotage attempt was prevented by securities of the regional gas company “Kaspyskgasprom” and the regional branch of the FSB in the vicinity of Uchkent village in Kumtorkalinsky district, Caucasus Times correspondent reports citing the Interior Ministry press service.

As soon as the guards found a suspicious sack they called for the Federal Security agents. The officers detected a 400-gr explosive and a timer to be set off at 3 a.m. The FSB experts disarmed the bomb at the site.

The regional Prosecutor’s Office filed a terrorism case. The law enforcement agencies are trying to track down those responsible for the planned sabotage.
