Local parliament deputy assaulted in Makhachkala

DAGESTAN, August 11, Caucasus Times – An attempt on Robert Aliyev’s life occurred on Tuesday evening near Imam Shamil avenue, CT correspondent reports citing the Interior Ministry of Dagestan.

Unidentified attackers started shooting from a speeding car at the Aliyev’s Jeep car while the deputy of Dagestan People Council and his driver were driving out of the courtyard. Mr. Aliyev and his driver reportedly did not suffer in the incident. Later, the car of hot suspects was found burned in one of the streets of Makhachkala.

Local law enforcement agencies are conducting investigation into the
case.
